How to Password Protect Videos

Require a password before viewers can watch your videos

Password protection requires viewers to enter a password before a video plays. You can set a password for all videos on your team, or apply it to individual videos independently of the team default.

Set a team-wide password

Go to Settings in the sidebar, then open the Access Rules page. If your videos are currently set to public, toggle visibility to restricted first — the password field only applies when access is restricted.

In the Password section, enter the password viewers must supply. Click Save. All videos that inherit the team defaults will now require this password to play.

To remove the password, click Clear next to the field and save.

Set a password on a single video

You can apply a different password to one video, or add password protection to a video that would otherwise be public.

Go to Videos in the sidebar and open the video. In the Access Rules card in the right sidebar, click Edit.

Select Custom rules, then check Override password. Enter the password for this video. Click Save.

This video will now require its own password, independent of whatever the team default is. Other videos are not affected.

Remove password protection from a single video

To make one video accessible without a password while the rest remain protected, open its rules modal and select Custom rules. Check Override password and leave the password field empty. Click Save.

Alternatively, select Make public to bypass all team restrictions for that video.

To revert a video back to the team default, open the modal and select Inherit, then save.
